I’m Remi Siciliano, a Sydney-based photomedia artist exploring the potential to collaborate with other organisms and environments to make images. My work specifically investigates how the material and receptive nature of analogue photography can lend itself to collaborative experiments and encounters.

By considering my practice as a lively ecology, I am no longer an artist wielding control over my tools and materials but instead play one small part within the creation of a photograph. I am interested in how creative multispecies collaboration can become a method for thriving during a time of environmental instability, where human-centric perspectives and stories are increasingly precarious.
